CARBON FARMING ADVICE

Carbon farming is an agribusiness. It’s a sector the Aboriginal Carbon Foundation specialises in. We can provide support, guidance, assistance, training and workshops for Land Councils, Traditional Owners, Farmers and Pastoralists. Together, we can build the carbon industry in your region to achieve the best economic, environmental and community outcomes, now and for future generations. You can connect with us in a range of ways, as follows.

LAND COUNCILS, INDUSTRY BODIES & ABORIGINAL ORGANISATIONS

We understand Land Councils, industry bodies and Aboriginal organisations may require some assistance, in order to provide professional services for staff, Traditional Owners and members. The Aboriginal Carbon Foundation can provide staff workshops on climate change, carbon farming and the carbon market. We can also assist with the following:

  • SavBAT reports for potential savanna burning projects,
  • Negotiation guidance for native title holders and pastoralist,
  • Specialist community development advice using a strengths based approach, and
  • Policy advice on the carbon industry.

Professional Services

FARMERS & PASTORALISTS

The Aboriginal Carbon Foundation has a Memorandum of Understanding with Agforce Queensland and are working with non-Aboriginal carbon farmers, to enable their social and environmental outcomes to be acknowledged in the voluntary carbon market.

The voluntary market achieves prices well above the Emissions Reduction Fund auction price of $12 per ton (average) and offers a higher degree of contractual flexibility that benefits carbon farmers and corporate investors.

The AbCF can help and looks forward to the opportunity of working with you. Contact us for more information.
