Job description

  • Role can be based anywhere in Australia.
  • Indigenous people are strongly encouraged to apply.

Background

The Aboriginal Carbon Foundation (AbCF) was established in 2010 as an Aboriginal not-for-profit company with a majority Aboriginal Board and staff. AbCF supports First Nations communities to develop high-integrity carbon and biodiversity enterprises that deliver tangible benefits for Indigenous peoples while addressing climate change and nature restoration, both nationally and internationally.

AbCF brings together a team with broad technical expertise, on-country experience, and a strong commitment to strengths-based approaches that promote Indigenous prosperity. We actively collaborate with Aboriginal organisations, carbon companies, nongovernment organisations (NGOs), conservation agencies, universities, and governments in Australia and internationally.

AbCF holds Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) status and is a Corporate Authorised Representative under Australian Financial Services Licence No. 298851, enabling the trading of high integrity Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs).

About the Role

AbCF is seeking a proactive and versatile Sales and Marketing Manager who thrives in a small, purpose driven team and enjoys building strong, respectful relationships with Traditional Owners, corporate clients, and diverse stakeholders.

AbCF also delivers a weeklong national certified training program covering climate change, carbon farming, and verification methods. Graduates may join AbCF’s verifier pool to undertake third party verification of carbon and biodiversity projects using the AbCF Core Benefits Verification Framework.
