By partnering with the Aboriginal Carbon Foundation, you can act on climate change and strengthen Aboriginal communities to help meet your Reconciliation Action Plan, corporate social responsibility goals and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Partners who work with AbCF include, but are not limited to, the following: Agforce Queensland, The Wilderness Society, Melbourne Uni, Griffith Uni, Monash Uni (Climate Works Roadmap), Centre for Appropriate Technology, Baker McKenzie, Southern Gulf NRM, Caritas Australia, Carbon Market Institute, Australian Carbon Traders, Investor Group on Climate Change, NAILSMA and are members of the Blue Carbon Taskforce and Advance Cairns.
Carbon farming projects supported by the Aboriginal Carbon Foundation are based on traditional cultural knowledge and scientific expertise. Aboriginal rangers and Traditional Owners lead the projects and all profits from the sale of carbon credits, go to Traditional Owners, supporting communities to develop expertise and build sustainable economies.
The Core Benefits Verification Framework, developed by the Aboriginal Carbon Foundation, identifies the environmental, social, and cultural outcomes of projects. Verified carbon meets the requirements of CSR and RAP. Indeed, the verification process in itself, creates opportunities for Aboriginal leadership.
An investment in Aboriginal carbon farming is an investment in carbon economies on Aboriginal lands. The AbCF is a respected source of accredited, quality Australian Carbon Credit Units, which will significantly reduce your carbon footprint while creating meaningful employment for Aboriginal people.
