Our First International Carbon Award At The ESG Carbon Awards 2024
The Aboriginal Carbon Foundation (AbCF) is honoured to have won our first international carbon award from ESG Investing, recognising our pioneering carbon farming and community development work with First Nations communities in Australia, Fiji, and Timor-Leste.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to fellow finalists, Fair Climate Fund and Greentech, for their remarkable efforts in addressing climate change.
The Aboriginal Carbon Foundation strives to achieve economic independence and community prosperity for First Nations peoples through innovative, Indigenous-led solutions for landscape restoration and climate change.
We would like to acknowledge the visionary leadership of our outgoing Chair, Barry Hunter, whose dedication and guidance have been instrumental in empowering and uplifting First Nations Peoples. His commitment, along with the tireless efforts of our Board and team, has paved the way for this incredible achievement.
AbCF Chief Executive Officer Rowan Foley welcomed the news, praising Barry Hunter for elevating the Aboriginal Carbon Foundation’s profile on the international stage.
